IS Scenarios
The following are scenarios
that illustrate what labor is covered by the Junkin Enterprises LLC Technology
Contract.

My 4 year old computer suffers a
hardware failure, it doesn't do anything at all when I attempt to turn it on.
Junkin Enterprises LLC will trouble
shoot this computer issue to determine the extent of the failure. We
will utilize our spare parts to swap out and determine which component has
failed.

If a power supply failed, for example,
we would notify you and recommend that we install a new power supply in the
computer and you would pay for the part only, not for any diagnostics or
labor. Whenever possible Junkin Enterprises will attempt to use spare
parts that have been recovered from your other computers if and when they
fail.

If, on the other hand a motherboard
has failed we would recommend that the machine be retired. If there is
data to be recovered from the machine, we would remove the hard drive,
install it in another computer and recover your data. We would then remove
certain parts from the machine that can be reused, such as the power supply,
CD Rom drive, memory, etc and store those as spare parts for your other
computers. If the memory could be used in one of your other existing
computers we would move it to that computer as a free upgrade to that
machine. We would then acquire another computer, either new or one of
your own existing spares, transfer the recovered data, configure the machine
for the user and get that person back to work. You would only pay for
any hardware that had to be purchased, all labor for data recovery, software
reinstallation, network setup etc would be covered by the Junkin Enterprises
LLC Technology Contract.

My computer has been infected by spyware,
adware, viruses or other malware and is operating very slowly and
unpredictably.
Junkin Enterprises LLC will attempt a
disinfection of your computer and if that is unsuccessful the we will remove
any data that you have stored on your local machine and do a complete
reinstallation of your operating system, software and restore your data to the
machine. We will get the machine back on the network and fully
operational for the end user at no additional charge to you. This is a
fully covered scenario.
- My computer hard drive is failing, and reports
errors when I boot.
Junkin Enterprises LLC will attempt to recover any
data still contained on the hard drive, acquire a replacement hard drive
(either from your own spare parts inventory or new) install the operating
system, software and restore your data to the machine. We will get the
machine back on the network and fully operational for the end user with only a
hardware purchase charge to you.
- My computer is failing and is still under warranty.
Junkin Enterprises LLC will evaluate your computer,
contact the manufacturer and make proper arrangements to get your machine
repaired. This often requires an extended tech support call with the
manufacturer to determine what is actually failing, the manufacturer will
typically send a part or a tech on site. If they send a part, we will
install the part, if they send a tech on site we will co-ordinate that service
call and make sure the machine is properly repaired at the completion and the
machine is back in service for the end user. These services will fall
completely under the Junkin Enterprises LLC Technology Contract.
In the event that all of this isn't smooth, and (as
is often the case) the manufacturer sends the wrong part, or doesn't fix the
machine on the first attempt or some other issue arises, Junkin Enterprises
LLC will stay with the problem and make certain that your businesses interest
are completely protected.
- Junkin Enterprises has done an outstanding job of
keeping computers running well and protecting my business from various
internet threats and I don't think the value of this flat rate contract is
very good.
Then it is time for Junkin Enterprises LLC to get
more deeply involved in your operation. We need to meet and discuss long
term strategies, learn your business processes more in depth and begin to fine
tune your operation. Junkin Enterprises LLC can bring a variety of
innovative technologies and techniques to bear to help your organization be
more efficient. This is the point we want to be at, where we are making
cost saving improvements instead of fighting the day to day fires.
